A closer look at the journey.

Lhakpa Ri rises near Everest between the East Rongbuk and Kharta glacier systems. The approach crosses the Tibetan plateau before progressing through base and intermediate camps to advanced base camp. The return programme includes the central Tibetan towns towards Lhasa, adding a different dimension to an expedition centred on the high mountain environment.

This programme combines time on the Tibetan plateau with an extended climbing period. Access, permits and the final road route must be agreed before travel. Higher camps, acclimatization rotations and the summit attempt depend on mountain conditions. We plan the support and equipment around the team rather than a fixed summit date.
