A closer look at the journey.

This longer overland programme follows the western Tibetan plateau toward Darchen and the Kailash kora. The outline allows a gradual progression through the Paiku Tso and Saga region, with overnight stages on the approach to Paryang and the Mayum La area. Lake Manasarovar is visited after the walking circuit.

The reference programme is historically described as the Zhangmu route. Current entry, exit and road arrangements must be confirmed for your dates before this journey can be booked. The kora involves several demanding walking days and a high pass. Discuss the walking option, rest time and any non-walking arrangements together when choosing the programme, rather than treating the circuit as an ordinary sightseeing stop.
